PENGARUH PEMBERIAN NATA DE COCO TERHADAP KADAR KOLESTEROLLDL DAN HDLPADA TIKUS HIPERKOLESTEROLEMI

ABSTRAK
Pendahuluan:Tingginya kadar kolesterol LDL dan penurunan kolesterol HDL meningkatkan risiko penyakit kardiovaskuler. Diet efektif menurunkan kadar kolesterol LDL, salah satunya dengan peningkatan asupan serat melalui konsumsi nata de coco. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh nata de coco terhadap kadar kolesterol LDL dan HDL pada tikus hiperkolesterolemi.
Metode: Rancangan penelitian eksperimensebenarnya jenis pre-post test desain randomized control groups terhadap 30 ekor tikus Sprague Dawley hiperkolesterolemi yang dibagi acak 5 kelompok. Tikus diberi nata de coco kering personde dosis 0,88 g; 1,76 g; 2,65 g; dan 3,53 g per 200 g berat badan per hari. Kadar kolesterol diperiksa melalui perhitungan dan metode CHOD-PAP. Data dianalisis dengan uji paired t-test dan Anova pengukuran berulang dan uji LSD pada tingkat kepercayaan 95%.
Hasil:Pemberian nata de coco dosis 3,53 g menurunkan kadar kolesterol LDL dari
135,83 mg/dl menjadi 20,45 mg/dl dan dalam dosis 1,76 g, 2,65 g, dan 3,53 g meningkatkan kadar kolesterol HDL dari 49,51 mg/dl, 50,59 mg/dl, dan 49,73 mg/dl menjadi 67,20 mg/dl, 74,30 mg/dl, dan 82,58 mg/dl.
Kesimpulan:Pemberian nata de coco selama dua minggu pada dosis 3,53 g mampu menurunkan kadar kolesterol LDL sebesar 115.38 mg/dl dan mampu meningkatkan kadar kolesterol HDL sebesar 32,85 mg/dl.

ABSTRACT
Introduction:The rising of LDL cholesterol level and the HDL cholesterol level declined to increase cardiovascular disease risk. Diet is the most efective method to decrease the LDL cholesterol level by increase dietary fiber intake withnata de coco’s intake. Thus a study was to prove the effect of nata de coco of different dosages on LDL and HDL cholesterol of hypercholesterolemic rats.
Methods:An true experimental study using control group with pre and post test design was carried out to already made-hypercholesterolemic Sprague Dawley rats. They received 0,88 g/d, 1,76 g/d, 2,65 g/d, and 3,53 g/d dried nata de coco. LDL and HDL cholesterol were measured before and after the treatment, using CHOD-PAP methods respectively. Data were analyzed using paired t-test and repeated measurement Anova, followed by LSD at 95% confidence level.
Results: The present of nata de coco dosages in 3,53 gwas able significantly to reduce the LDL cholesterol from 135,83 mg/dl to 20,45 mg/dl and increase the HDL cholesterol from 49,51 mg/dl, 50,59 mg/dl, and 49,73 mg/dl to 67,20 mg/dl, 74,30 mg/dl, and 82,58 mg/dl of the experiment rats.
Conclusion:There was decreasing concentration of LDL cholesterol 115.38 mg/dland was increasing concentration of HDL cholesterol 32,85 mg/dl after given dried nata de coco in 3,53 g per day during 14 days.
